Introduction
International Sumo Federation believes in clean sport and ensure the integrity of our sport is protected.
Just as each sport has rules to determine how it is played or performed, there are anti-doping rules in place to protect clean sport, IFS has in place to set of anti-doping rules that all athletes and athlete support personnel must abide by. If you are member of IFS then the anti-doping rules apply to you, regardless of what level you participate at.
The anti-doping rules for IFS are consistent with World Anti-Doping Code.
All athletes have the right to compete in sport knowing that they, and their competitors are clean and the use of performance-enhancing drugs and other doping behavior severely damages the legitimacy of sporty and undermines the integrity of clean athlete.
Doping has no place within the IFS.
Doping can be harmful to an athlete’s health, damages the integrity of sport, and is morally and ethically wrong. All athletes participating in IFS competitions must abide by the IFS Anti-Doping Rules.
